Philmont 2010
Summer 2009 is just around the corner and it is hard to start thinking about summer 2010. However, that is just what you must do if you want to go to Philmont in 2010. Troop 1024 can bring 9 scouts and 3 adults. You must be at least 13 or have completed 8th grade by 2010 to be eligible. The specific dates are still in the works, but plan on the adventure occurring for two weeks in June or July.
Philmont is a 12 day backpacking adventure in Northern New Mexico. It is an adventure you will not want to miss. A trek from troop 1024 went in 2008 and had an amazing time hiking over 100 miles. The trek consisted of the Doggarts, Hausmans, Kendalls, and Danny Mooney. You can talk to anybody that went about their experience (forum perhaps).
